Vulcan is a system of turnkey battery energy storage and renewable energy products that provide 120VAC/240VAC at 50Hz/60Hz and 4000W to support North American and World markets. Vulcan is designed to operate in a wide range of climate environments and can expand to over 100kWh of battery capacity. Vulcan’s portability makes it suited for powering and backing up medical, broadband, telecoms, IT, residential and small business electrical loads as well as providing an alternative to gasoline generators below 3.5kW.
Clean, Quiet and Filtered Backup Power: Vulcan provides a continuous supply of clean power to critical IT and other electrical equipment and produces no fumes, toxic emissions, or loud noise. Vulcan’s built-in AC voltage filters clean the 120VAC/240VAC output and allow operation of sensitive electronics under any power conditions.
Energy Efficiency: Vulcan incorporates parallel charging including solar for remote installations, unlimited battery expansion and high efficiency energy conversion circuitry for a round trip operating efficiency of 92%. This translates to longer run time durations of critical equipment.
Low Environmental Impact: Vulcan is fully repairable, field maintainable, field upgradable and recyclable.
Safety: Vulcan uses the safest lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4 or LFP) battery chemistry, high-reliability electronics and NEMA-3 rated enclosures for personnel and device protection.
Voltage Sag Protection: Battery power switches within 10ms (less than one voltage cycle) of a utility line voltage sag . Units 1 can be programmed to automatically switch to battery power with voltage sag between 80VAC to 110VAC to protect sensitive electronic and IT equipment, decrease equipment failure rates and reduce service calls.
Long Term Cost-Effectiveness: Overall maintenance costs are lowered due to the use of higher quality components and a modular subsystem design approach. Units are field maintainable and the batteries have a 5000+ operating lifecycle over 10 years. Life cycle costs are lowered and overall ROI can be realized sooner.

Wide Operating Environment: Built-in radiant heating uses only 20W and activates at 5ºC/41ºF for austere environments to extend the battery performance and lifespan below 0ºC/32ºF.
