Our Story
Sol Donum applies a culture of engineering to build smart battery energy storage system (BESS) technology that supports the areas of electricity resiliency, survivability and peak shaving for clients who are moving towards carbon-neutrality. Our systems and services allow users to reduce their carbon footprint to help mitigate climate change and provide resiliency capabilities, which allow them to anticipate, prepare for, and adapt to changing conditions and withstand and recover rapidly from electrical disruptions.
Our fast growing battery energy storage business is focused on filling the gap in the sub 100MWh energy storage capacity market with turnkey and custom products for critical applications such as military, disaster relief, telecommunications and healthcare. Our products are designed and manufactured in the U.S. and meet Buy American FAR provisions.
Our Capabilities
We are expert at the development of ruggedized and secure battery energy storage for applications that require behind-the-meter long term/perpetual power, energy self-consumption, PV/Diesel hybrid optimization, tactical energy support and improved electrical network fault tolerance.
Our off-the-shelf (COTS) products support most applications. However, our engineering services group, along with our partners, ensure that we can cover any behind-the-meter and microgrid implementation, maintenance, and monitoring in a cost effective manner.
Behind-the-Meter Energy Storage
We design and manufacture a range of all-in-one energy storage modules that use batteries and power conversion components to provide power to an electrical network from 2kW - 5.8MW.
Our products protect critical circuits, improve generator efficiency and reduce wear, improve electrical network fault tolerance, connect distributed energy resources, provide electricity continuity and reduce the overall cost of consumed electricity. Our engineering team provides assessment and design services to match our customer’s needs for behind-the-meter and islanding/off-grid applications.
Product, Financing, Installation & Service
We provide a complete storage solution that covers all aspects and scope to install systems, make them operational, maintain them, train users and provide value into the out years. In concert with our partner companies we can assess, engineer, install and service your energy storage solution and provide financing from equipment to the extended service contract if needed.
Custom Solutions
Custom microgrid, harsh weather and multiple AC voltage solutions can be designed by our team to fit requirements not covered by our COTS products.
